Life is a journey, just sail through it.
Life is a journey, just sail through it. Observe and re-gurgitate what you see, everyone sees things differently.
Photo is of little wooden pond yachts in Paris - How stunning. I would love to come across something like this on my trip to Paris.
I also cannot wait to have my very own life-size yacht, but not a pretentious one just one that does the job. A little wooden one with varnished maple syrup coloured wood and navy trimings. It will happen and if not atleast I can do paintings of the boat I would like.

Insane
One of many favourite songs at present. Fleetwood Mac - Go Insane (Live 1997). It's just too passionate for its own good.
Two kinds of people in this world
Winners, losers
I lost my power in this world
Cause I did not use it
So I go insane
Like I always do
And I call your name
She's a lot like you
Two kinds of trouble in this world
Living, dying
I lost my power in this world
And the rumors are flying
So I go insane
Like I always do
And I call your name
She's a lot like you
So I go insane
Like I always do
And I call your name
She's a lot like you
Things.
I love things. Little ceramic animals are a favourite at the moment. I recently got a family of sheep from an antique store in Wellington. My good friend just got a ceramic duck and felt the need to text me about it, simply because he knew how jealous it would make me. He was right it did make me "seeth with jealousy".

A few of my favourite things.
Over the next we while I will blog about "a few of my favourite things" (other than what I have already blogged). Starting with this: Driving. Aimlessly. With good music and just looking out the windows. I hate talking in the car and i'm the same on the bus. I just get carried away with looking out the window and being with my thoughts and I don't need to talk. Driving by farm-land and sea is rather special. There will always be certain drives that I love. One of the best drives I even went on was heading to Castle Point and another drive I will never ever forget was one I did with my sister last xmas. We played such good road music and stopped at anitque stores along the way. There was a lot of singing and looking out of windows.

You could be Happy.
You could be happy and I won't know
But you weren't happy the day I watched you go
And all the things that I wished I had not said
Are played in loops 'till it's madness in my head
Is it too late to remind you how we were
But not our last days of silence, screaming, blur
Most of what I remember makes me sure
I should have stopped you from walking out the door
You could be happy, I hope you are
You made me happier than I'd been by far
Somehow everything I own smells of you
And for the tiniest moment it's all not true
Do the things that you always wanted to
Without me there to hold you back, don't think, just do
More than anything I want to see you, girl
Take a glorious bite out of the whole world
Beautiful.

Topman.
Pubs.
Tonight a group of us went to watch a fireworks display only for it to be cancelled. As disappointed as we were we ended up going for a drink at an old english-style pub. While I sat there drinking a beer, it dawned on me how interesting these pubs really are. A completely imported concept, a copy. Further emphasizing that we live in a world of copies. After all these thoughts- overall it was a pleasant night!

Weekend of dreams.
This weekend was a sea of possibilities.....cups of tea in the early morning sun, walks up hills, dinner at nautical themed restaurants, coffee in the gardens, feeding ducks, a new vernon ward, drives, antique shops, op-shops, my friend Carwyn, seeing new offices and providing morning tea, beach, art galleries, light house, boats, more tea. what a lovely weekend. what a lovely place to be even if i did almost fracture my elbow. ha.
